We are excited to announce that our organization, formerly known as Hoodland CPO STR Committee, has been renamed to the Mount Hood Livability Coalition. This change is more than just a new name; it’s a reflection of our evolving mission and the expanding scope of our influence.

When we first started as Hoodlandsstr, our focus was primarily on the Hoodland area. However, as we’ve grown and expanded our work, we’ve realized that our influence and responsibilities extend far beyond just one region. We are now looking to be actively involved in numerous rural communities, all united by the common goal of improving livability in the Mount Hood corridor.

The name Mount Hood Livability Coalition better represents this broader scope. Mount Hood is an iconic symbol recognized not only in rural areas but also in urban settings. It stands tall as a beacon of natural beauty and community spirit, values that are at the core of our organization.

Our new name also underscores our commitment to collaboration. We believe in the power of coalition – bringing together homeowners, renters, local residents, and policymakers to create fair and effective regulations for short-term rentals. By working together, we can ensure that these rentals contribute positively to our communities rather than detracting from them.

We are excited about this new chapter in our organization’s journey and look forward to continuing our work under the banner of the Mount Hood Livability Coalition. We thank you for your ongoing support and invite you to join us in making our rural communities even better places to live.
